The concept of the workshop consists of fusing digital and acoustic sound realms to create meaningful, storytelling compositions by recording environmental sounds and sampling them.
The task is to approach a project through a conceptual narrative, by translating visuals into sound.
This workshop was developed from May - October 2016 and conducted from September – October 2016 in close collaboration with the UWC Maastricht (The Netherlands) and friend and colleague Abel Enklaar.
The students translated a Salvador Dali painting into 15 unique compositions.
A second iteration of this workshop was executed at the UWC June - November, 2017.
'Basics of sound design and digital music technology'
This workshop revolves around the basics of sound design and digital production. It was executed at the Franconian International School (FIS) in Erlangen, Germany, from
June 16 - June 29, 2018.
